As tonight’s full moon inspired my movement and my creative state I revisited the idea that our meraki that we put into our work remains behind long after the work is done and is no longer in our hands.
A piece of our spirit remains in everything we do, and the waves of what we create and how our creations affect other people can ripple beyond the sphere of our lives, and beyond the sphere of our knowing. We, as creators, imbue our love and our energy into the physical world around us and craft it. We change it – with intention and attention, and our focus.
It occurred to me, as I was musing about our incredible gifts as creators to shape our lives and shift the patterns around us, that meraki may be the absolute purest form of energy. Pure light. Pure love, because it is simply flow… and pure zen… and it is a gift that we send into the physical realm from the warmest corner of our hearts. This energy cannot be destroyed, and just as we began as the epicenter of an energetic big bang that created the universe, this energy will bend and stretch and become something altogether new, and we cannot know now what forms will emerge from the work we lovingly put into reality.
The universe breathed life into itself, and we have transmuted, and shaped and formed together. The same star seed that created you and I also created a the most distant star galaxy that we cannot yet fathom. Over time the energy shape shifted and evolved, and created the millions of life forms that we know about, and the endless forms we have not yet met. As the light – the pure light energy – shifted and danced and mixed and creatively it generated new forms, and consciousness placed itself into the new forms we created.
So as I sat under the full moon, her silvery light kissing the garden, and the Spring breeze chilled the tip of my nose. I breathed in the moonlight, and welcomed the light of the sun that was transformed simply because it touched her. Mars poked through the clouds and I welcomed the visible light that travelled through time and that touched my skin.
And I realized in that moment that before I was born, my spirit – my energy… my essence was a creator too. It breathed life into me as I would a painting now. And I am the living creation that is the result of my spirit’s deep meraki. My spirit made me with deep love. I am its meraki embodied… in my cells and in the spiral patterns of my code.
The reason I can push my own life-force outwards and can leave a piece of my soul in the world around me consciously is because my soul first decided to put all of it’s love into this pattern… into this being, and into this divine creation.
I am the meraki of my spirit. And I recognize the meraki in my life because it is my soul breaking free of the logical and reminding itself who I am. Who we are. And how beautiful the universe is.
